It involves deciding what needs to be near an outlet, how many things might run at once, and whether the existing garage circuit is enough — but the wiring itself, any new circuit, and any subpanel work are jobs for a licensed electrician, not a weekend layout project.

Some habits this points towards:
- Support stands or an outfeed table for cuts longer than the bench, positioned before the cut starts rather than improvised mid-cut.
- A clear, unobstructed path to the garage door or exit at all times, not just when it’s convenient.
- Machines positioned so the operator is never working with their back to a doorway or blind corner while a tool is running.
